People traveling on Ga. highways 34 and 54 west should prepare for another change in traffic flow relating to the road widening project starting Wednesday morning at 8 a.m.

Traffic will shift to sections of the newly-built roadway at that time, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.

Vehicles will be routed onto single lanes in each direction. The lanes adjacent to the median will remain closed, however.

Directional signs, barrels and cones will be used to route traffic to the appropriate road section, officials said.
