Starr’s Mill junior Greg Davis recently competed at the National Scholastic Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Armory in New York City. Davis threw the 25 pound weight a distance of 66’7.75”, placing fourth out of 54 nationally ranked athletes and earning All-American honors.

Davis throws shot-put and discus for Starr’s Mill’s track team and throws indoor 25 pound weight and outdoor 12 pound hammer for the Marietta club track team, “Throw 1 Deep.”

Last weekend at the Georgia Tech Coaches Track Invitational, Davis, who also plays fullback for the varsity football team threw a personal best of 156’1” in the discus and won the event.
