Crabapple Lane After School Program Helps TroopsTue, 03/21/2006 - 4:15pm
By: The Citizen
Every month this year, the children of the Crabapple Lane After School Program have participated in selected community service projects. For February, the children collected "Snacks for Soldiers." Other projects included "Pennies for Pets," “Hats for the Homeless," “Cards for Meals on Wheels” and "Angels for the Elderly." During April, the students will collect canned goods for the local food pantry to help with Easter. Participating in community service projects allows the children to learn the importance of helping others.
