The Fayette County boys tennis team got their second win of the season last week by handing Northgate a 3-2 loss. Winners for the boys were number two singles player, Saikat Karmaker , 8-5; number three singles player Joshua Williams, 8-4 and the number two doubles team of Rafiq Raziuddin and Jonathan Simmons, 8-3.

Fayette County’s other win came against Whitewater, 3-2. The team was led by number one singles player Shameer Khaliqdina.

The Lady Tigers also defeated Northgate. They won 4-1 and got wins from their top three singles players; Kimberly O’Dell, Leah Gannon and Ashley Bridges and the number two doubles team of Grace Trivett and Kim Webb.

Fayette County played at Newnan yesterday after the paper went to press and will play at Mundy’s Mill at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
