Diane Ruane of Fayetteville casts her ballot Thursday at lunchtime during the early voting period at the Fayette County Board of Elections office. Voters will choose between five candidates to fill a seat on the Fayette County Board of Commissioners that was held by the late A.G. VanLandingham. Anyone who didn’t vote by Friday afternoon will have to wait until the polls open Tuesday to cast their ballot.
