Parkside Walk's Phase II opens, already has five home salesThu, 03/16/2006 - 2:31pm

The first five new home sales have already been recorded in the just-opened Phase II of Parkside Walk, The Housing Group Intown’s neighborhood of Craftsman-style homes in East Atlanta. Located on Eastland Road, which runs off Moreland Avenue south of I-20, Parkside Walk is a 50-home neighborhood with home prices starting from the high $300,000s. The second and final phase will have only 20 homes. Phase I, with 30 homes, is currently being closed out. Only three homes in this phase, all of which have basements, are still on the market, and the builder is offering purchase incentives of up to $22,500 on these. Meg Thompson, who directs sales and marketing for builder/developer’s Intown neighborhoods, described the homes in Parkside Walk as having vintage vernacular architecture that seamlessly blends with state-of-the-art materials and finishes to combine the character of an older home with modern conveniences. All of the homes have welcoming front porches, and the neighborhood has five-ft. sidewalks, streetlights, and underground utilities. Brick, batten board and cedar shake accents are available on the home exteriors, and the interiors have a long list of luxury features. The builder/developer in Parkside Walk is The Housing Group Intown, a new initiative of The Housing Group, which is beginning to establish a major presence in Atlanta’s Intown housing market. Other current projects for The Housing Group Intown are Brantley Walk in the upper west side of the city and Eastside Walk in East Atlanta. The Housing Group is an award-winning, 26-year-old company with Michael Ray and James MacDowell as its principals. The company, which has produced nearly 4,000 homes in Metro Atlanta, already has a solid reputation for building communities reflecting the Traditional Neighborhood Design concept. These communities in other historic locations in the Metro Atlanta area received a tremendously positive reception from the home buying public, and in 2005, The Housing Group received five prestigious Professionalism Awards from the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association and its Sales & Marketing Council. Two of these awards were for Parkside Walk. Over the years, the The Housing Group has been active in downtown Atlanta, East Atlanta, Decatur, and in the north, west and south suburban counties. Company principals Ray and MacDowell emphasize that they take pride in being builders “who are always willing to sit down and talk with our home buyers so that clients can have the home that matches their desires, needs and budgets”. login to post comments |
