Atlanta-based John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods was listed #34 in Training magazine’s 2006 “Top 100 Training Organizations,” one of only two homebuilders to make the national list.

This marks the fifth consecutive year Wieland has been recognized at the magazine’s annual Training Conference and Expo awards ceremony. The company ranked among such notable organizations as FedEx (#83), General Mills (#10) and Hewlett Packard (#85). In the same awards ceremony, John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods was one of nine companies to receive a “Best Practice Award” and was acclaimed for a number of its certification programs including Signature Builder, Quality Manager and Core Management Certification.

Training magazine conducts extensive research for its annual Top 100 list through a multi-tiered nomination, application and interview process. Each organization's ranking is based on several factors including the impact of the programs on a company’s core business objectives and their ability to provide a competitive advantage for a company within its industry.

Founded in 1970 by John Wieland, John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods is currently building in 50 neighborhoods throughout the Southeast with operations in Atlanta, GA; Charlotte and Raleigh, NC; Charleston, SC; Nashville, TN and Louisville, KY. Known for its distinctive communities and innovative design, the company has been the choice for more than 25,000 homebuyers and has won more than 500 awards for excellence, including the three most coveted—America’s Best Builder, National Builder of the Year and the National Housing Quality Award.
