Paris Bennett has done it again! The 17-year-old “American Idol” contestant from Fayetteville had the audience on their feet as she performed “All I Do” by Stevie Wonder on tonight’s episode. After capturing her spot in the top 12 on last Thursday’s results show, Bennett had yet another hot performance tonight. Tonight’s show was the first episode in which the guys and girls performed in the same night. It also marked the beginning of the show’s annual “theme nights.” Tonight’s episode showcased the works of the legendary Stevie Wonder. While the first half dozen contestants didn’t do a whole lot to impress the judges, the show was closed out with some memorable acts including Bennett, Taylor Hicks, Katharine McPhee and Chris Daughtry. Bennett’s performance was met with high marks from all three Idol judges including Simon Cowell’s summation that she was “brilliant!” One contestant will go home when the results show airs at 9 p.m. tomorrow night. Television audiences can vote for their favorite contestant, including Bennett, by calling their assigned number (or text messaging the word “vote” on their Cingular Wireless phones) until 12 a.m. tonight. To vote for Paris Bennett call 1-866-IDOLS-11 (1-866-43657-11) or text “vote” to 5711. Check back tomorrow night to see if voters agreed with the judges. login to post comments |
