Clyde William Phillips, 81, Riverdale, died March 10, 2006. He was born Feb. 8, 1925 in Fulton County. He served in World War II in the European Theatre and also in the Korean Conflict. He was retired fro the United States Army having served 27 years in the 101st Airborne Division. He was also worked as a mechanic for the City of Atlanta Fire Department was a union organizer for the Carpenters Union Local 225. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Ken Rose officiating. Interment was at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta. Survivors include his wife, Ethel Phillips, Riverdale; sons, Danny Phillips, Stockbridge, and Stanley and Chris Phillips, Riverdale; daughters, Angela and James Morelock, and Sharon Phillips, all of Riverdale, and Rhonda Phillips, Fayetteville; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Emory Phillips, and Henry Phillips; and a sister, Myrtice Spinks. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge. login to post comments |
