Four Fayette educators are among 35 participants chosen for the 2006-2007 Educational Leadership Certification Cohort Group sponsored by Griffin Regional Education Services Agency and the University of West Georgia.

The participants from Fayette include Terri Allison, Peachtree City Elementary; Donna Eskut, Crabapple Lane Elementary; Daniel Smith, Sandy Creek High; and Tezlyn Watts, Sandy Creek High.

The cohort group members were selected from a large applicant pool. The selection committee consisted of superintendents from the Griffin RESA member school systems which include Fayette, Henry, Newton, Spalding, Butts, Pike, Lamar and Upson counties. Participants who successfully complete the program will be eligible for leadership/administrative positions in the 2007-2008 school year.
