The City of Peachtree City has been getting this question a lot recently from residents who live near Huddleston Pond or frequent the park and walking trail at the facility. The water level in the pond has been steadily decreasing over the past several weeks.

The pond’s outflow pipe system developed a leak in February, and City crews, assisted by staff from the Peachtree City Water and Sewerage Authority, have installed a temporary plug to slow the loss of water. The Peachtree City Engineering Department is developing a Request for Proposal to make permanent repairs to the structure.

Depending on the price quotes received, plans are to have the repairs completed this summer.
