The Second Annual Race for Riley, sponsored by the Delta Pilots Charitable Fund, will take place today (rain or shine) at the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home in Palmetto, 9250 Hutcheson Ferry Rd. Race for Riley is a 5K run/walk created to raise funding for the research and education of the diagnosis, treatment and cure of mitochondrial disorders and to provide support to affected individuals and families. Last year raised over $87K for research. Pre-register for $15 (before April 21) or $20 on the day of the event. 5K Run/walk at 8:30am, 1 mile fun run at 9:15am, and the tot trot at 9:30am.
