Palmetto City Administrator Bill Shell and Mayor Clark Boddie could not be happier. The city was recently notified that it will receive a $1 million grant to restore the historic 1914 train depot. Once restored, the site will be the location of a learning museum designed to make the city’s history come alive for residents and visitors.
