3 Restaurants coming to Peachtree CityThu, 03/09/2006 - 4:07pm
By: John Munford
While some folks are still waiting for the Three Dollar Cafe to open its doors in Peachtree City, there are several other restaurants in the works to keep the taste buds of local diners happy. One of those restaurants has a double benefit, as the new Taco Mac will be filling the vacancy left at the Marketplace shopping center when On the Border was shuttered months ago. A store representative told the City Council last week that there will be some remodeling done before Taco Mac opens. Students at Starr’s Mill High School will also be happy, as they are getting a Chick-fil-A restaurant near their campus at the Wilshire Pavilion shopping center. The restaurant chain is popular with students and families alike, and this will be its fourth location in Fayette, complimenting the stores on Hwy. 54 at the Peachtree Crossings shopping center and the two in Fayetteville. The Chick-fil-A will be built at the corner of Ga. Highway 74 and Holly Grove Road. Peachtree City will also soon be getting an Applebee’s restaurant on the Ga. Highway 54 West corridor. The store will be located at the corner of Ga. Highway 54 and MacDuff Parkway. The chain had attempted years ago to locate near Westpark Walk but store officials abandoned the idea after expressing disdain with the city’s landscaping rules, preferring instead to have a better visibility from Ga. Highway 74. login to post comments |
