Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Alexander Campbell of Atlanta announce the engagement of their daughter, Caroline Elizabeth Campbell, to John Phillip Joyner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Lynn Joyner of Peachtree City.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Betty Ann Marshall East and the late Mr. Garland Lester East of Atlanta, and Mrs. Angel Allen Campbell Lawson and the late Mr. Kenneth Alexander Campbell of Atlanta. She is a 1993 graduate of Marist School, and a 1997 graduate of the University of Alabama where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority. She earned a master’s degree in education from Georgia State University in 2002 and is employed by the DeKalb County School System.

The future groom is the grandson of Mr. James Marion McCorkle and the late Mrs. Annis Westbrook McCorkle of Decatur, and Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Harrison Joyner of Peachtree City. He is a 1993 graduate of Woodward Academy, and a 1997 graduate of the University of Georgia where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration. In 2003 he earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, the leading professional qualification in finance. Mitsubishi UFJ Trust & Banking Corporation in New York City employs him as vice president, equity analyst/investment advisory.

A January wedding is planned in Atlanta.
