Evelyn Annie Lee Bowen, 87, Newnan, died M arch 2, 2006. She was born Sept. 17, 1918 in Fayette County, daughter of Oliver Marion and Annie Lula Callaway Pye.

Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with interment at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, Hapeville.

Survivors include a son, Danny Lee Bowen, Newnan, and his godson, Kevin Lee Robb; a daughter, Sheila and Tommy Walden, Fayetteville; grandsons, Christopher L. Walden and fiancée, Billie Jo Dewberry, Fayetteville, and Michael Lee Bowen, Kent, Wash.; granddaughters, Jennifer Elaine and Jason Miller, Fayetteville, and Heather Marie Bowen, Kent, Wash.; great-grandsons, Shawn Michael Miller, and Joshua Jason Miller, both of Fayetteville, Noah James Giovanardi, Kent, Wash., and Kaden A. Walden; a sister, Helen Elizabeth Rakestraw, Riverdale; and a sister-in-law, Inez Jones Pye, Fayetteville.
