Fayette Democratic Women will host their March breakfast

The Fayette Democratic Women will host their March breakfast meeting at 9 a.m. on Saturday at Du-Roc Café in Fayetteville. State Senator Valencia Seay (D-34), State Representative Roberta Abdul-Salaam (D-74), and Dana L. Lemon (member, State Transportation Board) will address the group on a variety of state and local issues.
Seay will inform the group about upcoming and present bills and issues related to the committees on which she serves: State Institutions and Property, Appropriations, Public Safety and Homeland Security and Transportation. Abdul-Salaam will discuss issues and bills related to the committees on which she serves: Economic Development and Tourism, Judiciary- Non-Civil and Transportation. Dana L. Lemon, board member of the State Transportation Board, will address land use and its impact and relationship to transportation.
Local leaders address Democrats
The Fayette Democratic Women invites all interested women in the south metro area to attend their meeting. Breakfast will begin at 9 a.m. The meeting will be called to order at 9:20 a.m. and will adjourn at 11:30 a.m. The group meets on the second Saturday of every month for breakfast.
