Lori Whatley, a real estate professional in Prudential Georgia Realty’s Fayetteville office, was named the winner of the company’s Rising Star Award. The announcement was made at Prudential Georgia Realty’s annual awards ceremony held February 23 at the Cobb Galleria. This award is annually given to a sales associate licensed no longer than 18 months who has shown outstanding sales performance.

Her managing broker, Merry Holley, credits Lori’s success to her tenacity, hard work and on-going marketing to let people know about her real estate services. “Lori has taken this town by storm since becoming a Realtor. She follows up on every lead, promotes herself and participates on Chamber of Commerce and Fayette County Board of Realtors committees. Lori has never let a deal fall through and goes above and beyond the call of duty.”

Lori Whatley’s 2005 gross sales volume was $4.8 million, with 31 sales and 40 listings taken. These totals were good enough to place her in the Leading Edge Society award level for sales performance, one of several award designations created by Prudential Real Estate Affiliates (PREA) as a national standard for its agents. The Leading Edge award is held by only the top 14 percent of all 64,000 Prudential agents in the U.S.

A Georgia native and Fayette County resident, Lori Whatley is a graduate of the University of Georgia and the Mercer University medical school. She concentrates on residential real estate in the Fayette County and surrounding region. Her other professional memberships include belonging to the Georgia Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. To better serve her clients, Lori has earned her Certified Skilled Negotiator designation, is a certified Fine Homes Specialist and is e-Certified, which means she is skilled in the latest computer and Internet technology.

Active in her community, Lori volunteered for the Cattle Baron’s Ball for the American Cancer Society and, in 2005, put her home on the Christmas Tour to help raise funds for area underprivileged children. She is also a member of the Spalding Booster Club, the Endowment Committee for the Cultural Arts of Fayette County, the Fayette County Historical Society and was a 2005 Leadership Fayette participant.
