The decorated model home is now open and Phase I construction has begun in Westchase Glen, an 84-home swim and tennis community in the Sandtown area of South Fulton County. Located on Boat Rock Road near Fulton Industrial Parkway, Westchase Glen will have single family homes priced from the $190,000s and townhomes priced from the $170,000s. Eight different floor plans are available, and four homes have already been completed. Westchase Glen, a Norsouth development, is conveniently located near Interstates 20 and 285 and is a short distance from Sandtown Park, schools, shopping and other recreation areas. Kari Shepherd of Results New Home Sales & Marketing said the community is in a school district served by three excellent schools, Stonewell-Tell Elementary School, Sandtown Middle School, and Westlake High School. Mac Beaty, vice president of the home building company, Greenwood Homes, said, “The Sandtown community is a very nice area, and we’re excited about what we’re doing in Westchase Glen. It’s a redevelopment project that we’ve undertaken in cooperation with the Fulton County Housing Authority. We’re also providing a very nice housing product, including an affordable component.” The Traditional Custom Collection of two-story single family homes and townhomes offer impressive interior and exterior selections, and front and rear entry garages (per plan). Upscale features in the three and four-bedroom homes include lawn maintenance, nickel finish hardware, upgraded appliance packages, and solid surface countertops. Shepherd said amenities include the swim/tennis center with a double lighted tennis court; residents’ clubhouse with a weight room, media room and computer room; a playground, and several green space common areas. At present, home buyers can take advantage of a $2,500 builder incentive toward closing costs with the approved lender. The model home, Greenwood Homes’ Dunmoore plan, is located at 5771 Westchase St. More information about homes in Westchase Glen is available by calling 678-679-1620. Greenwood Homes Inc., the builder in the community, is a family-owned business with Chris Beaty as co-owner and president and his brother Mac as vice president and co-owner. The two began learning the building trade as teenagers under the guidance of their father and other family members.
