Two candidates will be in Fayette County this Saturday to share campaign highlights, answer questions and share their goals if elected to office. Senator Casey Cagle, candidate for Lieutenant Governor, and Senator Brian Kemp, candidate for State Agriculture Commissioner will speak to visitors and members at the Fayette County Republican First Saturday Breakfast meeting.

The meeting is free and open to the public, membership is not required. The presentation is part of an on-going series of monthly speakers hosted during the monthly breakfast meeting. Recent speakers have included Fayette County’s local Republican legislators and elected officials, and other political candidates including Fulton County Chairman Karen Handel and Senator Bill Stephens, candidates for Secretary of State, Ralph Reed, running for Lieutenant Governor, and Bob Greer, candidate for State Agriculture Commissioner. Local elected officials regularly attend the monthly meeting and are available for one-on-one discussions.

This month’s speaker, Senator Casey Cagle, ran for the State Senate at the age of 28, defeating an entrenched Democrat incumbent to become the first Republican Senator from Hall County. He is a six-term State Senator. He currently serves as Chairman of the State Finance Committee. He lives in Gainesville with his wife of 20 years, Nita, and their three children, Jared, Grant and Carter.

The meeting begins at 9 a.m. and is at the International House of Pancake in Fayetteville. Breakfast and beverages are optional and are not included. Attire is casual.
