Booth Top Readers
J.C. Booth Middle School Reading teachers last month recognized 437 students who have read 14 books or more over the current school year.

Booth’s Parent Teacher Organization sponsored an Ice Cream Party for the students. The PTO purchased ice cream and other items to make sundaes from Bruster’s Ice Cream, which helped plan the event.

During lunch, the dedicated readers were allowed to personalize their sundaes and eat their lunch outside in the courtyard.

Booth’s Reading Department Chair Kathy Smith said, “We are thrilled that we had so many students who have earned this goal, and we are planning to have an even bigger celebration at the end of the year for those students who read 25 or more books.”
