Drexel D. Wheeler, 86, Fayetteville, died Feb. 19, 2006. He was born Dec. 28, 1919, in Madrid, Iowa. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Bobby Carpenter officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, College Park. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Flora Wheeler, Fayetteville; children, Dolores and Robert Campbell, Chattanooga, Tenn., and Jo Adamson, Fayetteville; sisters, Betty Krasche, Woodward, Iowa, Shirley Funk, and Janet Beebe, both of Des Moines, Iowa; grandchildren, Douglas Hightshue, David James Hightshue, Dana Thompson, Deann Aldridge, Brian Campbell, Robin Campbell, Melinda Walton, and Jeff Adamson; and 12 great-grandchildren. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
