Ruth D. Jones, 90, Fayetteville, died Feb. 26, 2006. She was born May 30, 1915 in Fayette County, daughter of Henry and Susie Alford Dunn. She was preceded in death by her husband, John “J. B.” Jones. She was a member of Lisbon Baptist Church. Services were at the Lisbon Baptist Church with the Rev. Carlton Swicegood, and the Rev. Randall Harris officiating. Interment was at the church cemetery. Survivors include a son, Douglas N. and Joyce Jones Sr.; a daughter, Deborah and Wallace E. Cook; grandsons, Douglas N. and Mary Beth Jones Jr., and John Robert and Amy Jones; granddaughters, Kimberly and Lee Yearwood, and Shelly and Steven Norris; and great-grandchildren, John Douglas, Kathryn Elizabeth, and Charles Jacob Jones. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
