Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth G. Sloan of Ellenwood announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Rose Sloan, to Nathan Scott Young, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rodney R. Young of Fayetteville.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Kenneth Blevins of Rex and the late Mrs. Lorette Blevins, and Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Sloan of Calhoun. She is a graduate of Mercer University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in music. She currently is an eighth grade teacher at Luella Middle School in Locust Grove. The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Christine Young of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and the late Vergle Young, and Mrs. Lavoyce McGee of Tullahoma, Tenn, and the late Amos McGee. He is a graduate of Mercer University College of Engineering where he earned a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering. He currently is employed at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins and will attend graduate school at Georgia Tech in the fall. A small wedding is planned for Saturday, May 6, 2006, in Macon. Following a honeymoon to the Caribbean, the couple will reside in Macon. login to post comments |
