William D. Herndon and Glenda D. Herndon of Fayetteville announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Kimberly Anne Herndon, to Damon Allen Cox, son of Steve and Debbie Cox of Oak Grove, La., Donna Dukes, also of Oak Grove, and Johnny Dukes of Hazen, Ark.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Myrtice Daughtry of Cairo and the late Alvin Daughtry, and Rebecca Carter of Columbus and the late Joe B. Herndon. A graduate of Middle Georgia College, she presently is employed as an occupational therapy assistant at Southern Regional Medical Center.

The future groom is the grandson of Sally Cox of Oak Grove, La. and the late Charles Cox, Don and Veda Bankston of Goodwill, La., and Mack and Mary Dukes of Lake Providence, La. A graduate of Louisiana Tech, he currently is employed with Delta Air Lines as a flight control superintendent.

The wedding will be Saturday, April 8, 2006, at McDonough Presbyterian Church in McDonough.
