Residents along Ellison Road near Tyrone Road got a little excitement Tuesday morning when a man led deputies on a foot chase after he was pulled over for speeding.

The suspect was caught within a matter of minutes after several sheriff’s units and one Tyrone policeman searched the area, police said. In addition to a citation for going 70 mph in a 40 mph zone, he was also wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant from Bartow County, police said.

The suspect’s name was not immediately available.
