United Methodist Church (FFUMC), presented a $12,500 check to Craig Wiley, chair for the Counseling Center Legacy Build, to support the completion of the Fayette Counseling Center.

Funds for the donation were generated from the recent 2009 Christmas Tour of Homes, sponsored by FFUMC, and chaired by Cleve Kiser.

Work was initiated by Square Foot Ministries in February 2009 to develop a new 3,800 square foot counseling center. Wiley reminded the group that Square Foot Ministries — a nondenominational charity — was initiated a number of years back within FFUMC.

Westmoreland thanked the local community for their superb support for the recent Tour of Homes, and for those kind and gracious citizens who opened their homes for the tour.
