Progressives PO’ed at ObamaWhy..? He has not gone far enough left. On Sirius Left today an entire hour was spent going over the “Grand” promises made by Obama that has not been kept. It seems the far left wants what they were promised and they want it NOW. This is good example of the hard left.. "He's a technocrat who wants to "solve problems" and "change politics." The first may actually end up producing the kind of ideological shift liberals desire simply because of the dire set of circumstances greeting the new administration. (Hooray for the new depression!) The second was always an empty fantasy --- politics is just another word for human nature, and that hasn't changed since we were dancing around the fire outside our caves." The PDA (Progressive Democrats of America) Note the stated elation for a Depression.. America loses and Progressives win.. and they are happy about it.. “Many hard liberals seem to think that they and they alone brought Obama to the presidency. Without them (the thinking goes), he’d never have been elected, and thus, “he owes them”…. and right there is the root of the fear of the Obama presidency springing up around the country.”The Moderate Voice “Mr. Obama is falling in the polls because last year he didn’t tell the American people that the “change” they were asked to believe in included trillions of dollars in new spending, deferring to the most liberal Members of Congress, a government takeover of health care, and appointees with the views of Van Jones.” Wall Street Journal However I can agree with the Progressives on this one.. For the new year, let's resolve: Don't defend Democrats when they don't deserve defending. And that certainly includes President Obama. 2010 promises to be an exciting year in politics. Let’s all “Hope” that America can survive long enough for us to have a chance to “CHANGE” the Leadership in our Government. S. Lindsey's blog | login to post comments |
