Robert “Bob” G. Long Sr., 72, died Dec. 13, 2009. He grew up in Buffalo, N. Y. He served in the United States Air Force at Brookley Air Force Base in Mobile, where he met his wife at a skating rink. After the Air Force he worked in retail for a number of years and then pursued his love of photography. He was graduated from the New York Institute of Photography in 1955. Memorial services were at McKoon Funeral Home with interment at the Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, Ga. Survivors include his wife, Edna Barnette Long; children, Chet and Laurie Long, Leslie and Robin Meriman, Brynne and Duane Blalock, Robbie and Nikki Long, and Greg Long; 11 grandchildren; and sisters, Suzanne Leithner, Beth Wooten, and Judy Ferm. McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.
