Eloise Stephens Crenshaw, formerly of East Point, Palmetto, and Christian City, died Dec. 18, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, James G. Crenshaw Sr., a daughter Karen Eloise Knowles, three brothers; and one sister. In World War II she served her country by riveting ships and spent her life serving others. She was a devout Christian and longtime member of East Point Christian Church, where she was Sunday School teacher. She was a great cook and opened her home to nine foster children. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with Pastor Ron Little officiating. Interment was at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Forest Park. Survivors include a son, James and Mitsi Crenshaw Jr., Tampa, Fla.; grandchildren, Emalee and Conn Barrow, Newnan, Nathan and Laurie Knowles, Atlanta, James Constantine Crenshaw, Miami, Constantine Charles Crenshaw, Nokomis, Fla., and Alexander George Crenshaw, Tampa; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Ethen, and Faith Barrow; and brothers, Oscar and Jo Stephens, Baltimore, Perrin and Bivian Stephens, Dunwoody, and Otis Stephens, Augusta. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge. login to post comments |
