New Hope Baptist Church’s 2009 Living Christmas Tree production entitled “Hallelujah ... Light Has Come,” started Tuesday and will run through this Sunday, Dec. 13.

Tickets are required but are free by calling 770-460-4838, or online at www.newhopebc.org. Tickets also may be obtained at either north or south location, 551 New Hope Road, or 1563 Ga. Hwy, 74, after Sunday services at 9:15 (south) or 10:55 a.m. (north).

This year’s production includes more than 400 adults, youth and children taking part in the choirs, orchestra and cast, as well as a 40-foot “singing” Christmas tree with thousands of computerized lights (and a few surprises).

The all-new script takes a look at aspects of Christmas through the eyes of one woman as she moves from her kitchen to the manger to the procession of the Wise Men. This year’s tree also features John Waller singing two songs from his album “While I’m Waiting” used in the recent movie, “Fireproof.”
