Christianity;Hinduism; Islam: Sonnet

So many choices we have to follow
Either One God, One Son, One spirit;
Or, Goddesses, Gods in which to wallow;
From a newer Prophet wars flow as a spigot

All have many, many divisions and rules,
Even just from whom does the blood flow
And there being no scarcity of fools,
Who will follow any as does the wind blow.

One's birth seems to influence a favorite
Or in many cases a rewarding recognition.
Firm, fixed, unchanging, never opposite.
With a least important decision: cognition

Comfort in destiny, assured of reward
We plod on crowding out the real Lord.
