The Peachtree City Library will be closed today as crews work on a permanent repair to damage caused in a power pole mishap earlier this week.

City Hall will have power this morning so citizens will be able to conduct business there, officials announced Thursday evening.

The power outage is not expected to affect residences near City Hall, officials said.

The library is asking citizens who need to return books to wait an extra day. Books due today will be given an extra day grace period due to the closing.

The library is expected to be open for regular business on Saturday during its normal hours.
