Helen Virginia Hightower, 84, Social Circle, formerly of Griffin, died Nov. 25, 2009. She was a longtime employee of the United Cotton Goods Company and the Dundee Towel Shop. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Glenn Stringham officiating. Interment was at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Fayetteville. Survivors include a brother, Bobby R. and Patricia Hightower, Brooks; sisters-in-law, Karen Hightower, Social Circle, and Doris Hightower, Walker County. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
