By: The Citizen
Music, golf cart contest, prizes and more planned The Kedron Village shopping center will be transformed into a Christmas village of sorts Sat. Dec. 12 from 2-5 p.m. for its first ever “Christmas Celebration.” Residents are urged to deck out their golf carts holiday style for a parade and contest. First place wins Chick-fil-A for a year; second place wins Planet Smoothie for a year and third place gets a three-month membership to Massage Envy. Among the entertainment will be three local grade school chorus groups and other musical performers. Stores will have tables set up with different events including photos with Santa and face painting. The Peachtree City Police Department will also be there collecting new unwrapped toys for its Light Up the Night toy drive, as the department’s truck and new Mustang will be on display. The city’s Community Emergency Response Team is also slated to participate. Kedron merchants have already donated toys to the program and also have drop-off boxes for donations which will be collected by the police department. The toys will be distributed to needy children in the area. Chick-fil-A’s Santa Cow is also expected to make an appearance. But there will be much more than good cheer on hand: merchants are offering more than $2,000 in prize and drawing giveaways. To participate in the golf cart parade and contest, residents must register by Saturday, Dec. 5 via email to vicki66ptcga@yahoo.com. login to post comments |
