By: The Citizen
A special Thanksgiving Day Mass will be held at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 26. Father Dan Fleming, pastor, will celebrate the Mass. Those attending are asked to bring a food item they are serving for their Thanksgiving meal that will be blessed and taken back to their homes for their family gathering. Food items, non-perishable items, will also be collected in the Narthex for the parish’s St. Vincent de Paul conference food bank. The parish youth organization will provide a full Thanksgiving meal for a family in need. Susan Leigh Baker will coordinate the effort of the parish youth. St. Mary Magdalene is located at 3 Village Road, directly behind the new Coweta Library on Literary Lane. It is accessed from Ga. Highway 154 at Ebenezer Church Road, just beyond the Fire Station. There is also an entrance on Robinson Pond Road and Lower Fayetteville Road. login to post comments |
