Atlanta vendor replaces Ticketmaster

The Fred has built its reputation through the years on small town values that have extended in part to providing superior customer service to a loyal and passionate customer base. Being accessible and friendly is often cited by these customers as the reason the 2,500 seat venue is chosen over others to attend summer concerts under the stars.

In 2005 the venue entered into a contract with Ticketmaster to provide ticketing services for the concert series that ran throughout the summer. The Fred has been utilizing this service through the box office and other outlets for the past four years. Some might say that this change adversely affected the home-town service once offered through the rustic box office nestled in the trees.

In 2010 there will be a change. After examining several ticketing options and looking over numerous proposals, Atlanta based Ticket Alternative has been selected as the ticketing vendor of choice for The Fred.

Established in 2004, Ticket Alternative is a market-leading provider of integrated ticketing solutions in Atlanta. They have experienced a steady growing client base since that time and now boast over 400 venues, events and promoters nationwide and grossed $6 million in revenue last year with a staff of approximately 20 employees. The company was founded as an option to the large ticketing providers that currently monopolize the market. “We are very excited to be working with the Fred," says Ticket Alternative
President, Iain Bluett. "The venue has such a unique, energetic atmosphere,
a stellar line-up year after year and really reaches out to the community.
We think that with the attentive customer service we offer, together we'll
be able to provide patrons of The Fred the best concert and event experience
possible this upcoming season and hopefully for many seasons to come."

Manager Nancy Price is also looking forward to the change in ticketing vendors. “Their low convenience charges coupled with a commitment to customer service and client support made them the #1 choice for the Fred” according to manager Nancy Price. “Their convenience charges typically run about half of what Ticketmaster was charging. This savings will be passed on to the patrons who purchase tickets for individual shows at our venue.”

The Fred has a capacity of 2,500 and has been producing concerts and events for over thirty years. Touting national entertainers and bands, as well as community friendly and family events, you can find a variety of acts to choose from most every weekend from May – October.
