A large tree that fell near Peachtree City's baseball and soccer complex this morning knocked out power for less than five minutes for more than 5,100 Georgia Power customers this morning.

Georgia Power crews were able to quickly re-route power to get it restored before embarking on the necessary repairs, a company spokesperson said. The tree pulled down transmission lines, knocking out four substations temporarily.

The brief outage affected homes and some properties in the city's industrial park.
