Perlieu Stew weekend coming up
Members of Bethany United Methodist Church will offer their famous Perlieu Stew Saturday, Nov. 7, from noon until 5 p.m., or until the stew is sold out. Plates for children are $5, adults $8. Pints are $6 and quarts are $10. The event dates back to the early days of the church. Bethany is at 607 Rivers Rd., (where Rivers Road changes to Milam Road) in north Fayette County.

Murray Tilles to speak at Crosspoint
Murray Tilles, executive director of Light of Messiah Ministries in Atlanta, will explain the significance of the Jewish holidays when he speaks at Crosspoint Community Church Sunday, Nov. 8 at 10:30 a.m. Crosspoint is at 300 Tivoli Garden, Peachtree City. Visit the church website, www.c3ptc.com.

Dinner, auction set at New Hope
HeartCry and New Hope Baptist Church, 551 New Hope Road, Fayetteville, will host a Pasta Dinner and Silent Auction, Friday, Nov. 6, at 6:30 p.m., in the Rainbow Room, to benefit orphans living in Liberia, West Africa. B’nai Israel schedules 60s, 70s concert
Congregation B’nai Israel in Fayetteville will present “60s & 70s Unplugged,” a concert by Larry and Mindy from Israel featuring warm acoustic renditions of Bob Dylan, the Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, the Everly Brothers and many more on Saturday, Nov. 14. COS women plan holiday event
The Women’s Activities Committee at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City will host an event tagged “Mingle, Make It, Take It” on Saturday, Nov. 14, from 10 a.m. - noon, in the fellowship hall. Participants will be invited to enjoy holiday food and to create Christmas items, to include Modge Podge plates, night lights, and gift bags and tags. The cost is $10. Annual holiday tour of homes planned
The Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will once again sponsor its annual Christmas Tour of Homes, this year planned for Saturday and Sunday Dec. 5 and 6, from 1 – 5 p.m. each day. Tickets for the tour are $15 (donation) each, with the proceeds going to benefit the completion of the Fayette Counseling Center on Bradley Drive, Fayetteville, with work accomplished by Square Foot Ministries. Carriage Lane to present ‘Jars of Clay’
Carriage Lane Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City will present the Christian musical group ‘Jars of Clay’ in concert Saturday, Dec. 19, at 7 p.m., as part of its Peachtree Arts Academy concert series.
