Joseph Sams School establishes Classroom Readiness/Tutoring Clinic

October 15 – The Joseph Sams School (JSS) today announced the opening of a Classroom Readiness/Tutorial Clinic in Fayetteville, Georgia to serve the needs of children in the greater Atlanta area with diagnosed intellectual, physical and developmental disabilities.

The JSS Classroom Readiness/Tutorial Clinic will offer intensive 1:1 instruction in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) for children diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum disorder and individualized 1:1 instruction in pre-academic, academic and communication skills.  Each child will receive an assessment, followed by 1:1 weekly tutoring sessions, along with monthly assessment updates.

Marie Sams, Administrative Director of the Sams School and Clinic, explained what led to the creation of this clinic.  “More and more children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum disorders are in need of communication, attention and compliance skills to be successful in a classroom setting; other children need supplemental 1:1 instruction to reach their full developmental and academic potential. For over 25 years, the staff at the Sams school has provided special education instruction and therapies, and I believe we are uniquely qualified to serve this population of children.”

The Clinic will open in October at the Joseph Sams School, 280 Brandywine Blvd, Fayetteville, GA and operate Monday through Friday from 2 – 6 pm and Saturday from 9 am – 12 pm.  Individualized instruction will be offered daily in 1 – 2 hour segments, with two to five day-per-week participation options.

For information on admission and fees, contact Marie Sams, Administrative Director, or Karen Springer, Educational Director, at 770-461-5894 or by email at marie@josephsamsschool.org or kk@josephsamsschool.org.
