Dorothy Bell Day, 83, Fayetteville, formerly of Riverdale, died Oct. 19, 2009. She was born April 26, 1926 in Milton, Mass. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Dalton and Dorothy Priest Bell Sr., and her husband of 58 years, Brad Day. She was a graduate of the Quincy, Mass. School system. She had worked for many years for New England Power Company in Boston. When Northeast Airlines merged with Delta Air Lines, they moved to Riverdale. She had operated a small company, "At Home Typing," in Riverdale and enjoyed meeting the people she came in contact with. Her hobbies include golfing, photography, traveling and she was an avid reader. She was a member of the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church and the Fellowship-Discipleship Sunday School Class. Memorial services will be at the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church Chapel on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009 at 1 p.m. Survivors include a brother, William Dalton and Beverly Bell, Jr., Matthews, N.C.; nephews and nieces in Manchester and Quincy, Mass., and in North Carolina; and a goddaughter, Cindy Page and her son and daughter, Framingham, Mass. The family wishes to thank her friends in Fayette County for their kind help and devotion. Memorial donations may be made to the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church, Organ Fund, 170 E. Lanier Ave., Fayetteville, GA 30214. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge of the local arrangements. login to post comments |
