Our Lady of Victory Catholic School is pleased to welcome Claudia Munoz on staff this year! Claudia Munoz is the new Spanish teacher. Claudia comes to Our Lady of Victory with over 20 years of teaching experience.  Claudia’s background and experience is unique and we are delighted to have such a rich cultural addition to our school community.

Claudia initiates the Spanish conversation as soon as the students step foot into the classroom. She encourages the students to speak Spanish throughout the entire class time, allowing the students to become immersed in the language.  There is always an ear-to-ear grin on the children’s faces as they enter and as they exit Mrs. Munoz’s Spanish class!

Claudia Munoz was born in Bogota, Columbia. She graduated from the Universidad Externado de Columbia with a Bachelor’s degree in Education. She is certified in the state of Georgia to teach Spanish (P-12). Claudia has also attended the Stanton School of English in London. In London, Claudia spearheaded a new Spanish Saturday school project for children born in an English speaking country, but with Spanish speaking parents.

Mrs. Munoz has taught at several diverse schools. She even worked at a Catholic-American school in her home city of Bogota. This fascinating school was run by Benedictian monks. Claudia has experience with traditional and non-traditional teaching models, such as - therapeutic-academic teaching for children with learning disabilities. The Our Lady of Victory Catholic School community is ecstatic to have Claudia Munoz on staff! Claudia Munoz is a wonderful, bright and enthusiastic professional. Claudia teaches us the importance of culture here in Fayette County.
