The American Red Cross is conducting a blood drive this afternoon from 3-7 p.m. at Peachtree City's Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church.

The drive is part of a kickoff to the church's service weekend. Related events Saturday include:

• The “give and take” yard sale in which all items are free. The yard sale will take place at the church Saturday from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Members of the community are invited to leave items if they wish and take what they would like; any leftover items will be donated to a charitable organization.

• A bake sale with proceeds going to the Department of Family and Children Services Summer Lunch program and the Fayette Senior Services Meals on Wheels program. The bake sale is today (Friday) from 2-6 p.m. at the church and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Braelinn Kroger grocery store.
