Clifton Lee Daniels Sr., 87, Peachtree City, died Oct. 16, 2009. He was born April 15, 1922 in Wadesboro, N.C. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Jonus and Ida Mae Heavener Daniels, his wife, Teruko Toma Daniels, sons, Wesley, Jay and Dwayne Daniels, a brother, John Daniels, and a sister, Sara Beverly. He served in the United States Marine Corps for 21 years and retired as a master sergeant with tours of duty in World War II, Korea, and two tours in Vietnam. He later retired after 15 years with the Army and Air Force Exchange Service in 1991.

Services are today, Oct. 21st at 2 p.m. in the Carl J. Mowell chapel. The Rev. Don Smith will officiate with interment at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include his longtime companion, Carol Morgan, Peachtree City; a son, Clifton L. Daniels Jr., Columbia, S.C.; daughters, Sara Lynn Daniels, Sharpsburg, and Naomi Daniels, Honolulu, Hawaii; a twin brother, Clyde Daniels, Locust Grove; and many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
