Westpark Toastmasters members recently welcomed Thomas Haft as a new member of their club. Thomas visited for almost six months as a guest of club member Paulette Bass. Paulette is the first documented developmentally disabled Toastmaster to achieve the Advanced Communicator status. Thomas, who is also developmentally disabled, said he hopes to follow in her footsteps and achieve his Competent Communicator status within his first year of membership. Reid Spearman, Vice President of Membership for the Westpark club, welcomed Thomas into the club on the day of his induction ceremony.
