Ernest L. Dockery, 70, Gay, died Oct. 5, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents, Riley Loren and Lillian Blanch Monroe Dockery. He was a native Northern Cheyenne, and member of the "Monroe" clan. He had served as a Ranger in the United States Army, having completed three tours of duty in Vietnam. He was cremated and no immediate services are planned. Survivors include his wife, Edea Caldwell, Gay; sons, Larry and Vickie Dockery, Anderson, S.C., and Kevin Dockery, Charlotte N.C.; daughters, Katie Caldwell, and Todd Sartain, Free Union, Va., Rebecca Caldwell and Kevin Garelick, Temple, Texas, and Vickie and Whaley Coker, Kansas; grandchildren, Gwendolyn Sartain, Jaymisen Garelick, Caleb Dockery, Ethan Dockery, Eric Anzaldua, Cassandra Anzaldua, Nicole Anzaldua, Tiffany Burrington, and Douglas Burrington; great-grandchildren, Blaine, Allissandra, and Elspeth; a brother, Larry and Debbie Dockery, Murphy, N. C.; and a sister, Miriam Valpando, Billings, Mont. Memorial donations may be made the American Indian College Fund, attn. Abigail Whiteing, 8333 Greenwood Blvd., Denver, CO 80221, or Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, 1 Intrepid Square W., 46th St. & 12th Ave., New York, NY 10036. Carl J.
