Roscoe Jenkins funeral home holds Baccalaureate service

Roscoe Jenkins Funeral Home hosted the Baccalaureate Service for the 40 recent graduates of Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service.

Graduate Linette C. Ward, Roscoe Jenkins, introduced the speaker, the Rev. Willie T. Edmondson. A native of Troup County, he attended ITC and is currently working on his PhD at Fountain University. He is owner of Lakes Dunson Robertson Funeral Home as well as the pastor for 26 years at Bethlehem Baptist Church in West Point. He is also a 1979 graduate of Gupton-Jones.

The Rev. Edmondson spoke on the importance of excellence in everything you do as well as excellence in the field of funeral service as professionals.

The Roscoe Jenkins Funeral Home has been in business since 1911 in Newnan, and is currently owned by Octavia J. Mahone, Jacquelyn M. Flowers and Linette C. Ward.
