Good news for business owners on the Southside. The Strategic Resource Group will be holding three new money-saving seminars in 2009. The Strategic Resource Group has been offering exciting, free seminars for business owners for the past three months, and they have been well received. The Strategic Resource Group is made up of local professionals who are recognized experts and leaders from within their own industries.
There have been a lot of changes in the way people have to run their businesses, and there are a lot of law changes that have been affecting business owners. It’s difficult to know what expenses will create a positive impact and which ones will simply drain the bank account.
The Strategic Resource Group was organized to give business owners a resource, a place where they can go to ask questions and get answers from people who know. In this tough economic time, it’s difficult for people to know what they need to do. It’s not easy to pay the bills let alone pay for some additional professional advice.

The Strategic Resource Group is composed of Linda Mackey, of Linda Mackey Insurance, Mike Miller of FlexHR, Inc., Frank Harris of Kedron Integrated Marketing Solutions, Nic Greco of the Greco Law Firm, Bob Pempin of Iron Rod Consulting and Doug Bates of CMIT Solutions. Each month two of the members provides an in depth presentation of ideas that are pertinent to today’s needs. There is an open question and answer period afterward, where anyone can ask any questions, and the members hang around after the presentation for any additional private questions. Previous presentations have been: “How to Reduce the Cost of Health Insurance”, “Legal Issues for Small Businesses in 2009”, “Great Marketing Doesn’t Happen By Accident”, and “Hiring and Firing in Today’s Economic Environment”.

The next meetings topics will include “What to Look for in Your Health Insurance Renewals” by Linda Mackey and How to Decide When and Where to Advertise by Frank Harris.
