Navy Seaman John F. Miklas has deployed to the U.S. Naval Base, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to serve as a member of Joint Task Force-GTMO in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Servicemembers from all branches of the U.S. armed forces are involved in a joint-military operation whose mission is to conduct detention and interrogation operations to collect and exploit intelligence in support of the ongoing Global War on Terrorism.

He is the son of Paul F. and Carol A. Miklas of Essex Circle, Fayetteville, Ga. and a 2002 graduate of Fayette County High School, Fayetteville.
