Help the Coweta County Fire Department kick off Fire Safety Week and support the Coweta Employee Relay for Life team’s 2nd annual yard sale, Saturday, October 3 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the Hobby Lobby parking lot (the former Belk’s).

The Coweta County Fire Department will be on hand providing information on fire safety, including:

Sign up to receive smoke detectors - for the elderly and needy

Coloring Contest for children

Junior Firefighter Obstacle Course

Representatives from the Red Cross

There will also be clowns, storytelling & face painting by the Coweta Library System, hot dogs and refreshments. Fun 101.1 radio will be on hand with prizes and music.

The Coweta Employee Relay for Life team has made a year-long commitment to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. The team is accepting donated items for the yard sale and team members are available to pick up most donated items.  Items that will be available at the yard sale include household items, clothing, small furniture and more.

All proceeds from the day’s activities go to the American Cancer Society through the Relay for Life Team.

Please call Karen Riner, (770) 254-3900, at the Coweta County Fire Department for more information on Fire Safety Week or to donate items for the yard sale.
